Social Responsibility

As Occidental Insurance, we understand what Corporate Social Responsibility is and the impact it makes to our society. We’ve therefore learnt what impact our brand is making in the society and how we can be part of the change.

how & why we do it

impacting our society.

We have made Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) a fundamental part of our business culture. To accentuate our profound assurance in making a difference in people’s lives, we are guided by a standing strategy and we bind a significant financial allocation each year to CSR initiatives.

We have done a lot of activities in the since its inception in the year 2007 and been able to touch the lives of the less fortunate citizens of our country Kenya.

During the political violence that rocked the country in the year 2007, the sitting MD Ashok Ghosh was touched by a story aired by one of our local stations that had affected about 70 kids and made them homeless.

This made us realize that we have a part to play in our society and hence kick-started this journey.

By then, we managed to give food, clothes, build a water tank, and refurbished their rooms and classes and from then we’ve continued with a good job, until today. We do the visits after six months.
